Egatel presents at IBC2015 its Wideband-High Efficiency TV Transmitters
|Egatel will present its Wideband-High Efficiency TV Transmitters and its new product line in the field of satellite transceivers at IBC2015, one of the largest exhibitions for Electronic Media in the world, an annual event which is held in RAI Convention Center of Amsterdam, from 11 to 15 September.|
This year Egatel will be at booth 8.D40 where will be possible to see a Wideband-High Efficiency TV Transmitter of the WHET Series in actual operation into dummy load, which provides an Energy Efficiency of up to 42% over the whole UHF band, for both liquid and air cooling transmitters.
The optimization of Energy Efficiency in the transmitters is achieved through the Doherty technology which with the addition of the Wideband function, allows changing the RF channel without requiring any kind of adjustment in the amplifiers.
On the satellite field, the ‘Smart LNB’ will be showcased, a terminal conceived by the satellite operator Eutelsat and implemented by Egatel. Eutelsat, one of the leading satellite operators and a key provider of Broadcast and Broadband services, has conceived the ‘Smart LNB’ terminal to enable the next generation of bidirectional connected TV platform services and M2M applications.
The ‘smart LNB’ is a cutting-edge electronic device connected to the satellite dish equipped with a novel transceiver that has a High Efficiency narrowband return link. The terminal will shake up the SatCom market, by opening the door to a wide range of satellite TV connected services such as: HbbTV, social networking, payment transactions, subscription-based management and on-demand services, etc; Besides TV connected services, the 'smart LNB' supports multiple Machine to Machine (M2M) applications: e-Health, smart Homes, Smart Metering, etc.
