New Low Power Transmitters and Gapfillers from Egatel in NAB show 2016
|Egatel will be back again in NAB show from 18th to 21th of April in Las Vegas, this year to present the new Low Power TV Transmitters and Gapfillers series. The TUWH1000 and RUWH1000 families have a compact design reaching output powers up to 115 Wrms in a single rack unit and facilitating operators installation, operation and maintenance tasks.|
With this launch the company extends the High Energy Efficiency over the whole RF power range, by applying Wideband Doherty Technology to TV Transmitters and Gapfillers that will be used in the latter stages of TV network coverage.
“They offer an unbeatable cost - performance (CAPEX / OPEX) ratio, no other broadcast manufacturer had assumed this commitment in favor of energy efficiency applied to energy and space savings” says José M.M.Mariño, Director of Sales and Marketing at Egatel, “TV channels need easy ways of reducing expensive maintenance costs and seek reliable and high-quality systems”.
The new series that support all digital standards (DVB-T/T2, ATSC, ISDB-Tb) has been especially developed for filling in coverage gaps in challenging and space saving situations. A built-in advanced Digital Adaptive Precorrection system makes it possible to automatically deliver the optimal level of correction for the over-the-air signal and a powerfull multistandard Echo Canceller, in SFN Gapfillers case suppresses installation feedbacks in the most challenging echo conditions. Thanks to a friendly Web GUI which enables the complete transposer management, in local or remote mode, the tasks of monitoring and maintenance are extremely simple.
There will also be shown the ‘Smart LNB’, a terminal developed for the satellite operator Eutelsat. The ‘smart LNB’ is a cutting-edge electronic device connected to the satellite dish equipped with a novel transceiver that has a High Efficiency narrowband return link. The terminal will shake up the SatCom market, by opening the door to a wide range of satellite TV connected services such as: HbbTV, social networking, payment transactions, subscription-based management and on-demand services, etc; Besides TV connected services, the 'smart LNB' supports multiple Machine to Machine (M2M) applications: e-Health, smart Homes, Smart Metering, etc.
