Egatel will supply a 14KWrms Digital TV transmitter to the Mexican Market
November 26th, 2012
It has been purchased by the Autonomous University of Nuevo León in Monterrey, and it will become the digital TV transmitter with the highest power operating in the country.
Almost ten years after the first deliveries in Mexico, Egatel through its distributor, Grupo Diez Technology, will increase its presence in this market by installing this equipment, as a continuation of a previous project that involved the delivery of a 5KW Dualcast transmitter (Analog / Digital).
The high power TLE6800 transmitters series is characterized by high energy efficiency and reliability, equipped with the cutting-edge LDMOS transistors technology and redundancy on critical elements. It incorporates a liquid cooling system that dissipates heat efficiently and noiseless, designed to ensure continuous operation and to optimize the energy consumption.
The transmitter will operate in accordance to the ATSC system, the digital TV standard adopted in Mexico, and it will integrate the latest advances in this technology: the transmission of Mobile TV (ATSC A/153 MH standard) and the operation in single frequency networks (SFN A/110B:2011 standard).
