Doherty technology, applied to broadcast amplifiers, optimizes energy consumption and operational expenditures
The International Digital Multimedia & Entertaiment Technology Exhibition & Conference Broadcast Asia 2013 celebrates its eighteenth edition between 18 and 21 June at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel (level 5) in Singapore. For the TLE6800 series, liquid cooling systems and characterized by its fully modular design, Egatel presents and innovative option integrating the pump systems in the transmitter rack is presented, thus reducing costs and footprint. Air cooled series are based in the new 600 Wrms amplifiers ( DVB-T/ISDB-T) that can be integrated in configurations including up to five of them and with output powers up to 3 kW. The design of these amplifiers, avoiding air flow through boards and components, with redundant power supplies that can be extracted from the front panel or the use of fans outer the module are part of the “know how” of Egatel. It is also possible to select between Broadband and Doherty in each transmitter, representing an enormous advantage for the configuration of the reserve transmitter in N+1 systems.
Regardless the output power or cooling system, Egatel offers 1U 19”exciters for DVB-T/-H/T2, ISDB-T/Tb and ATSC, m the highest quality requirements. Digital adaptive precorrection is included in almost all the configurations Moreover, it uses friendly solutions for operation and maintenance like control software based in embedded web servers, front insertion solid state memories for loading configurations and remote supervision solutions based on SNMP.
