SisTEma sateLitAl híbRIdo para redeS IoT – STELARIS-IoT
The main objective of STELARIS-IoT is the design and development of a hybrid 5G satellite / cellular communication system. The design is optimized for low bit rate and duty cycle Internet of Things (IoT) applications, typically sensors and actuators. This system makes it possible to provide bidirectional connectivity to a large number of IoT devices in regions without coverage from other networks, either directly through a satellite link or indirectly, creating an area with 5G coverage extension according to the mMTC service category (mass communications machine type) and using the satellite link as backhaul.
